六彩神龙指标是依据金融行为学中的韦伯理论等金融学研究设计而来的。在市场中，并不是所有股票都会参与市场交易的，当股民刚开始亏损时，对股价的波动最为敏感，此时，他就是市场的浮动筹码，而当这种亏损持续的时间越长以及幅度越大时，其对当前的股价波动就会越来越不敏感，这时他就成了市场的套牢锁定筹码，相当于退出了市场流通，而这样的筹码越多，实际上主力的控盘难度就越小。

指标说明 Indicator Description
【六彩神龙】如上图副图指标，柱线颜色分别代表：红色-主力筹码；黄色-浮动筹码；绿色-套牢筹码。而三条细线，分别表达它们的十天均线，草绿色代表获利盘比例，浅青色代表浮动筹码比例，桔黄色代表套牢筹码比例。这个三柱和三线不同的颜色即表示通常的六彩神龙指标。
为了进一步增强六彩神龙指标的特色功能，我们加进了二条代表庄家主力资金和散户游资变化的粗曲线, 其中蓝色线表示庄家主力资金的变化, 紫色线表示散户游资的变化。这样，原来的六彩神龙指标就变成了八彩神龙指标。另外，当主力资金退出时，我们把获利盘比的颜色由红色变成了浅红色。

例如∶当套牢盘达到80%时，则意味着该股的80%筹码都已经被锁定，只需控制剩下筹码的一半，即10%，便可达到相当于50%控盘的作用，而拉升该股的所需要的资金量也大大降低。同时，当获利盘开始增加时，则意味着该股的赚钱效应开始显现，容易产生大量跟风盘，从而相当于帮助主力对该股进行了拉升，这就间接反映出，主力对该股的控盘程度很好，让散户为自己抬轿子，当这种获利盘增加的速度越快，表明该股主力的控盘能力越强。
